Ghantakarna Festival

Back to the small village Khokana, I documented locals as they burned bad spirits during the Newari Ghantakarna festival. Quite challenging task, I have to say, while smoke and flames blast all directions.. One thing I have learned about Nepal - safety is definitely not the main concern here.

Bracelet

When I met jeweler Lila Koirala in his shop in Thamel, he seemed to be brave enough to take on my demands and make a silver bracelet for me. After our long debate about the price, he made me a tea, had some friends over and about 30 minutes later, my bracelet was done.
